Of Gods and Men is a story written by T H O T S L A Y E R. Humanity is the dominant species in the galaxy, ruled by superhumans known as the Hadou. On the outside, it is made to seem like a utopia by the Propoganda Department, however in actual truth, the empire of man is worse than any hell, expanding it's borders through bloody conquest, tearing apart whole solar systems for it's resources, populating everything left. However, with the absence of it's leader, the empire is rotting. To most planets, it is an oppressive, dogmatic system, centred around the rich's well-being, and to the planets distant from the centre, it is little more than anarchy, with brothels as it's most common structure. Mankind's empire is crumbling once again, being crushed on all sides by it's collapsing hold on it's denizens, and the external assault of cosmic forces. This is the story of the Hadou's desperate struggle over control and mankind's attempts to re-assert itself.
Power of the Verse[]
Overall, Of Gods and Men is a notably powerful verse.
Most of the characters are around Solar System level to Multi-Solar System level, with a few being lower. The speed is exceptionally high, with several potentially immeasurable speed characters, and massively FTL+ feats. However, the verse excels in hax abilities. A majority of characters are able to ignore distance and causality to kill their opponents instantly, as well as being immune to attacks that don't interfere with higher dimensions.
